Katie Sarro, Member at Large
Katie Sarro is a Senior Director of policy for Business Roundtable. She is primarily responsible for developing policy positions and advocating on federal legislative and regulatory issues related to energy and environment, infrastructure and smart regulation.
Prior to joining Business Roundtable in 2019, Katie was a senior policy director at the Council on Competitiveness where she managed the association’s energy and manufacturing portfolio. She previously worked as an account manager at a boutique public affairs firm in Washington, DC, where she developed and implemented messaging and communications strategies on climate and energy issues for public and private sector clients including the Government of Guyana and the Ohio Manufacturers' Association.
Katie began her career at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), first at the organization's headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and then at the North America regional office in Washington, DC. She received a B.A. in economics and political science and a master’s degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as an MBA from the University of Geneva. She is a native New Yorker and resides in Washington, DC.
